The challenge
DC BLOX is building data centers at a fast pace, from 40 MW campuses toward gigawatt scale. Leadership needed one clear view of construction, design, land, power and finance across every project, and contractor schedules they could rely on when committing to ready-for-service dates.
What Alpen did
Alpen built DC BLOX’s leadership dashboard in Power BI, working with the construction, design, land, power, operations and finance teams to consolidate their data and automate how it flows in. We review contractor schedules in Primavera P6, work with general contractors on schedule quality and platform adoption, and tune Foresight’s AI scheduling analysis to DC BLOX’s standards.
We are also building the PMO processes and tools to forecast and track ready-for-service dates for future 40 MW+ and gigawatt-scale projects.
Outcome
Schedule quality and submission consistency have improved considerably, and leadership now sees portfolio status, power timelines and construction progress in one place. As the portfolio grows, Alpen and DC BLOX are exploring how the partnership could extend into procurement, power planning and scheduling standards.
